We Need to Talk About Uranus! Should We Change Its Name?

Throughout the solar system the planets, moons and asteroids have been given names that generally tend to echo ancient mythology. Uranus, however, is the only major planet out of the 8 that carries a Greek god’s name, and there’s no question that communicating that name to the public can sometimes be difficult.

If you look across the comment section of any of my videos based around Uranus, you will see a lot of jokes about the pronunciation of its name.

And so it got thinking, should and could we change it? Could we stop Uranus from being the butt of all jokes?
