Voyager 2 Just Made “Impossible” Discovery after 46 Years in Space!
Voyager 2 is a space probe launched by NASA on August 20, 1977, to study the outer Solar System and beyond. It is one of two probes of the Voyager program, along with its sister craft Voyager 1, which was launched a few weeks earlier. The primary mission of Voyager 2 was to study the four giant planets of the outer Solar System – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune – and their moons. After completing its primary mission, Voyager 2 continued to travel through the Solar System and is now in the outermost region of the Solar System, known as the heliosheath. Voyager 2 has provided valuable data on the outer planets, their moons, and the interstellar space beyond the Solar System, and is still operational and sending data back to Earth.
