Scientists have discovered a massive object that is further away than anything else in the universe.

Star Light

Some of the earliest substances in the cosmos may have been seen by scientists.

In a recent study that has not yet undergone peer review, scientists discovered an unnamed object that is 13.5 billion light years distant. According to Live Science, that is almost as old as the cosmos itself, making the object, known as HD1, which is probably a very far-off galaxy, some of the oldest things in the universe.

The Harvard researcher who set out to film UFOs in high definition, Dr. Avi Loeb, worked on the study and told Live Science that the item might disclose a lot about things that happened in the early cosmos.

According to Loeb, the first galaxies appeared roughly 100 million years after the Big Bang. “They were far denser and one millionth the mass of the Milky Way. They may be viewed as the building pieces of modern galaxies, such as the Milky Way, which is one way to conceptualize them.”

Big Mystery

The researchers aren’t nearly ready to specify the nature of the object, its age, or even if it is a galaxy for sure. In fact, some claim that there is a possibility, albeit a slim one, that HD1 might be a massive black hole. Fortunately, new observations will probably provide answers to those queries.

According to Loeb, if HD1 is a black hole, there should be X-ray radiation coming from it. If we do not discover X-rays, huge stars must be the source of the emission.

Fortunately, we have a dedicated new asset we can rely on to provide the goods about the finding. According to Live Science, the James Webb Space Telescope, NASA’s largest and most potent new telescope, will provide researchers with photographs and information about HD1.

After years of delay and more recent online discussion, the telescope was eventually deployed yesterday and will soon be able to start taking scientific photographs.

And if the mighty Webb can’t tell us more about HD1, it’s unclear what can.
