Astronomers are able to learn more about how Earth’s rocky relatives appear around other stars as they increase the known population of far-off planets, or exoplanets.

And they frequently stumble across oddballs in their studies, such as a recently discovered planet bathed in molten magma whose “year” only lasts a half-day. It is the largest Super-Earth ever found in the universe.
