A recent study suggests that our universe may be akin to an expanding bubble within a concealed dimension.

The physicists developed a groundbreaking idea to explain the age-old mystery of the growing Universe and in doing this; we can have a clue that we possibly live in a ‘bubble’ between many other five-dimensional entities.

When that makes your head spin, do not feel irritated – that’s the intention. However, we can split it apart to put more in detail.

Our Universe as we know it has four dimensions: an extra dimension of time to allow us take each other into account, the three dimensions of space which means all round we go, and a clock which reminds us that time does not stand still.

Yet, the physicists of the Uppsala University in Sweden have come up with another solution that claims that there are other curves that are five dimensional, and that where two of those dimensions ‘touch’, at that point, the curve expands forming an infinite bubble.

According to Swedish scientists, “The Universe in general can exist at the brink of this expanding bubble”.

“The possibility exists that there are countless bubbles in which we live through billions of different people and external spaces, and we are just one of their countless bubbles – an aspect of that infinite dimensionality.”

Wow, it’s amazing, but here is the main goal: to decipher the dark energy matter – one of the vitally-important virtual matter that is believed to have an impact on ‘ dark energy’, the powerful force that leads to expansion of the Universe.

For decades, researchers have attempted to clear the mystery surrounding dark energy that has resisted solution since string theory has not afforded a great insight.

String theory is one of the ascetics, “oh amazing idea really sad about the real facts” concepts. It’s one of those theories, which, on the one hand, is elegantly formulated, and, on the other hand, they can bring together incompatible ideas of physics.

It was born and grew up in early attempts to graft one spatial dimension on general relativity and pointed that charge and angular momentum of particles can be derived from one-dimensional strings having certain geometrical shape.

Those belong either to a really big cluster or to separate clusters that emerge only after you add many extra dimensions or other laws that condition the solutions. Actually there are around 10^500 solutions, each with a totally different features, but our Universe’s mix is only one of the small percentage.

The problem is that, with quantum mechanics software being increasingly complete, string theory is getting more and more clear that it too is not right and is inconsistent with this Universe’s observations.

Mistrusting inhabitants of an average or above-average command of the language. However, in terms of the absence of practicality or the possibility of testing, it is incorrect.So why bother?

With many avenues to be wrong in science, careful thinking is needed. Some excuses are worse than the others and how can it (string theory) be compared to an old car which is unable to go but still has many parts that can be removed.

It’s reminds me about all this expands space.

Over this while, the only source we have to explain it has been dark energy, a new phenomenon that is not changing the space itself but gradually pruning it.

The universe we have named the de Sitter Universe’s is an example. It is quite popular now among many, who affirm that it is one of the options for considering what we see around us.

Unfortunately unluckily we failed to triumph over different versions of string theory which all unsuccessful in giving the answer what is happening. They only work when vacuum energy drops or tends to a negative value or something below zero.

So we can decide on getting rid of the string theory or dismissing of the model which is has gained popularity recently.

However, it is the Swedish researchers who have already come up with a new solution which will be maintaining string theory and de Sitter Universes.

It also actually builds on the second concept that surfaced roughly 20 years ago. Long time ago, 2 US physicists, Lisi Randall and Raman Sundrum, complemented this theory by presenting alternative models based on the concept of branes, where bald spaces, which differ in different kinds, meet up at a specific point. This model was created to explain weak gravity.

Recall a place of which theceilingscreakwithtime, or where there is a way to go to up or down, left or right, back or forth, and another way. Of course, I also tried to picture how it looks, but I failed to do that as well.

Crucially, it is also a space which, one might say, is the anti-de Sitter one. However, it is different as it is not dominated by a negative energy, but by the right kind of negative one.

A pair of such 5D anti-de Sitter spaces is linked border by border. In Randall-Sundrum scenario, different branes could be accommodated in order to give a rise to the known different forces.

In this particular case, the designees are utilizing the same sorts of solutions to tell the story of our own compounding 4D Universe together with the pieces carrying the adequate amount of gravity.

And now comes in string theory: Where is it applied? That is, “the strings” (or the light beams from top of the page) are expanding on the extra dimension in our Universe, resulting in the different formulation of the Universe that we observe it today.

So, “The term ends of strings in this phrase points to the fact that each and every existing entity in the Universe more or less populated this extra dimension”, the press release clarifies.

In particular, the so-called AdS/CFT correspondence, which currently is used in string theory models, still functions due to the existence of AdS spaces. Actually, it even represents more than a growing bubble but rather a five dimensional space whereby a 5D space is outside and inside the bubble.

We realize here that the structures of these string theorists have somewhat the same nature—they do not converge on the solution in one step. The surface of a multidimensional bubble, if it even exists, is surely just as beautiful as it sounds, but still, an astronaut’s hope to have worldwide travels depends on whether such a bubble can be found.

Physics is approaching beyond where we are implementing hypothesis and the criteria would only be those which irrefutably work on the papers and what does not contradicts the reality.

There lies in somewhere in this streamline of weird notions of vibrating strings and bubble Universes at which one can show remarkable agreement to the strange statistics obtained from the particle accelerators or even the roots which sound like (do not add) in astronomic observations.

Hence, the pieces of intellectual trash that we dispose now, may eventually be reused in the next generation of incredible physics’ theories.
