Hyades-White-Dwarf-768×453

This figure from the research illustrates some of the team’s results. It shows all of the potential escapee white dwarf candidates in the Hyades Cluster as different coloured dots. The three primary candidates are labelled WD1 to WD3. Black points are WDs with kinematics indicating escape from the Hyades but are likely too old for potential past cluster membership. Orange dots are likely escaped WDs from Hyades, but their masses were less than 1.00 solar masses and are more likely to be interlopers rather than long-time cluster members.
